Crypto markets are flat, with Bitcoin stuck at $16.8k and Ethereum at $1214. Feels like we’re entering holiday mode as volumes taper off and news flow slows down. Bitcoin miner Core Scientific has filed for bankruptcy and is calling for support from debt holders in the effort to restructure their convertible notes. A creditor committee including Gemini has presented a plan to DCG to recover their $1.8B assets (half of which is Gemini’s) and expects an answer back by the end of the week.

NFT volumes spike to $30M+ as the Bored Ape Yacht Club announced a “Jimmy the Monkey” short film would be released today. BAKC, BAYC, and MAYC had an almost $15M turnover combined, as these NFTs will be necessary to mint from the “Jimmy the Monkey” game. Azuki had $2M in turnover while Moonbirds was $1.2M. ETH-NFTs were $28M in total, Solana-NFT with $2M, and Polygon with $850k.
